Chocolate Meltdown

Start: 4:00 pm End: 7:00 pm
Location: 1758 Moravian Sun Inn, 556 Main St. Bethlehem, PA
Price: $35 per person, $60 per couple

This new event celebrates all things chocolate. Guests will enjoy tastings of Savory Dishes using chocolate. Items from chocolate appetizers, entrees, deserts as well as chocolate cocktails and chocolate beer with be available for guests to sample.

Participants in the Chocolate Meltdown to date include: The Farmhouse Restaurant, Granny McCarthy’s Tea Room, Mama Nina’s, Granny Schmidt’s Bakery, Keystone Home Brew, Lombardi’s Plaza Deli, Wired Gallery & Café, the Back Door Bakeshop, Capital Wines, Brooklyn Brewery and Shuze.   

Some of the items being presented include: Chicken and Beef Mole’ from the Farmhouse Restaurant, Chocolate Cheese and Chocolate Raspberry Wheat Beer from Keystone Home Brew and Mexican Hot Chocolate from Wired Gallery & Café.

The event will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Cost is $35 per ticket or $60 per couple. Tickets are available by calling the Sun Inn Preservation Association office at 610-866-1758. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted for payment.

Tunes at Twilight

Concerts ill take place every Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in May and June at the Sun Inn Courtyard in Historic Bethlehem, PA.
“Tunes at Twilight” is a FREE, and FUN family-friendly event. The concerts are general admission and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the events comfortably. Food will be available for purchase from several Downtown restaurants for pick-up AND delivery as well as from the Sun Inn Preservation Association. WINE AND BEER WILL BE AVAILABLE TO SAMPLE! Attendees may also bring a picnic meal from home.

Pulaski Day Halupki Dinner

Location: 1758 Moravia Sun Inn
Price: $10 adults $5 children

In honor of Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski’s stay in the 1758 Moravian Sun Inn in April of 1778 and again on May 17, 1778, the Sun Inn Preservation Association is holding a Halupki Dinner on Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2010.

Cost is $10 per adult and $5 for children under 12. For tickets, please call the Sun Inn Preservation Association office at 610-866-1758.  Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted for payment.

W. Beall Fowler has been named the recipient of the fifth annual Tribute to Historic Preservation Award sponsored by the Sun Inn Preservation Association.

Overnight Ghost Hunt

Start: 10:00 pm End: 5:00 am
Location: 1758 Moravian Sun Inn
Price: $100 per person

Bring your own flashlight, camera and a voice recorder. This is not just a tour. It is an actual all night ghost hunting experience as seen on TV. You will be divided into groups with members of Lehigh Valley R.I.P.A., and sent off to explore areas of the building.   Refreshments will be served.

Tribute to Historic Preservation Preservation Reception

Spillman Farmer Architects, Bob Spillman, Barry Pell and Jim Whildin have been named the recipients of the sixth annual Tribute to Historic Preservation Award sponsored by the Sun Inn Preservation Association.

 The award will be presented during a reception at the 1758 Moravian Sun Inn on Friday, November 4, 2011. The reception is from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and tickets are $50 a person, $40 for SIPA members.  Tickets can be reserved by calling the Sun Inn Preservation Association office at 610-866-1758.
