Dear Friends, Neighbors and Patriots,

he history of our inn is so rich and so meaningful that we consider ourselves and the community blessed to have this heritage. As we witness history and understand buildings as landmarks, we grow in the realization that once destroyed, these edifices are almost impossible to restructure. In the case of the Sun Inn, we were indeed fortunate to have a group of dedicated individuals that cared enough to restore, revitalize and maintain the Inn.

We have worked diligently to restore and maintain our revered 1758 Sun Inn. In recalling the past twenty-nine years, we are humbled by extraordinary efforts of the community to visit the Sun Inn for lectures, touring, and dining. We have dedicated our efforts to restoring the Inn and maintaining its status as a human resources center and a nationally registered historic landmark. Through donations, membership contributions and grants, the Association interprets the Sun Inn's history; offers informative and educational tours and sponsors annual events and lectures—all open to the public.

Membership in the Association helps guarantee future generations the opportunity to cherish the Sun Inn. In these days of rising maintenance and operating expenditures, the Association values each contribution and membership with highest regard. Funds are used not only to replace and refurbish the existing structure, which now stands in it's 18th century glory, but also to acquire pieces for the collection, and help defray the costs of our programs and special events.
